Price and Quantity FAQ

As part of our commitment to support our sellers during their transition from Souq Selling Center to Amazon Seller Central, we are gradually moving your account details and inventory from your Souq Selling Center account to your new Amazon Seller Central account, and moving your catalog gradually. Please note that you can still manage your business in your Souq Selling Center account as usual until further notice. We will also show all the progress of your catalog and inventory migration in Sou Selling Center. Do access your new Amazon Seller Central account to check your migrated details and get familiar with using your Amazon Seller Central. 

As my account is migrated from Souq Selling Center to Amazon Seller Central, are there any steps required from me to complete my registration? 
The steps required to complete your new Amazon Seller Central account registration includes:

  • Accept Amazon’s Business Solutions Agreement

  • Verify your Account Details transferred to Amazon Seller Central

  • Set your Primary Address (Easy Ship will only be available to the Primary Address)

  • Validate your listings transferred to Amazon Seller Central


Why am I seeing this new status “Amazon Migration Status”?
This status indicates the migration of your listings from Souq Selling Center to Amazon Seller Central. As the migration involves us moving all your listing and associated offers to Amazon Seller Central we want to give you visibility into what is happening. Each item in your listing can have one of the following status

  • Offer Copy Pending – Item is migrated to Amazon Seller Central but the price and quantity for that items is not copied. We will copy it over to Amazon Seller Central in the next 72 hours.

  • Offer Copied – Item and offer details have been successfully migrated to Amazon Seller Central. The date indicates when we last copied the price and quantity details to Amazon Seller Central

  • Offer Copy Error - There was an error when we tried to copy the offer to Amazon Seller Central. No action is required from your end currently. 

  • Item Migration Pending – Items has not be migrated to Amazon Seller Central. No action is required from your end currently. 

 

Should I edit the price and quantity details on Amazon Seller Central, or should I edit those details on Souq Selling Center?

We recommend you make your edits on Souq Selling Center. We have implemented a daily process where we copy the price and quantity for your listings that you have set on Souq Selling Center to Amazon Seller Central. Any amendments that you make to the price and quantity on Amazon Seller Central will be overwritten by our daily process.

When can I start changing the price and quantity on Amazon Seller Central, rather than on Souq Selling Center?

We will tell how to do this once you should start doing this on Amazon Seller Central. We will also copy the price and quantity for your listings that you have set on Souq Selling Center to Amazon Seller Central on one final occasion to ensure that the price and quantity information is as up to date as possible.

When will all of my Souq Selling Center listings be migrated on to Amazon Seller Central 


We have started migrating your listings. When you log into your Amazon Seller Central account, you will be able to see your listing in Amazon Seller Central. You can find your listings under Manage Inventory tab. If you have recently created new listings on Souq Selling Center, we will automatically migrate the new listings to Amazon Seller Central. It will take 7-10 days after your listing is live on Souq Selling Center in order to see your listings in Amazon Seller Central. 

Why are some of my listings not migrated till now? 
There could be multiple reasons why some of your listings are missing. The reasons include:

  • If any critical attributes required to create an ASIN on Amazon Seller Central are missing, the listing may not show up initially. We are working towards back filling Amazon Seller Central required attributes for such listings on Souq Selling Center. We expect to complete backfill activity few weeks before website launch.

  • If the listing has not been active (i.e. no live offer, rejected status) in Souq UAE marketplace at any point since May 1st 2018, the listings are not migrated. Also, if the listing is rejected by moderation or deleted by Seller, the listing will not be migrated.

  • Few listings may be suppressed if they are restricted products or if the listings belong to restricted categories allowed to be sold by whitelisted Sellers only. Please check this Amazon Help Page to fix suppressed listings.

In case significant listings are still missing, please raise a ticket using Amazon Get Support link and we will get back to you within 2-3 working days.

Can I see the status on all my listing on Souq Selling Center?
You can download a report from Live on Site tab under the Inventory Management section to see migration status for all your live listings. Before downloading please make sure to select all my listing option to ensure the file has the status for all live listing. 

How can I see the mapping between my Souq Selling Center and Amazon Seller Central listing?
You can identify your offer by looking up SKU column value in Manage Inventory tab of your Seller Central page. The SKU in most cases will be SKU provided by you. In case you have not provided SKU at the time of listing or SKU has Arabic or Chinese characters, SKU value in Manage Inventory tab will be Souq offer id (or in few cases Souq EAN). To note, in case you have edited the SKU in Souq Selling Center post offer creation, it will trigger duplicate SKU on Amazon Seller Central. On Amazon, you are not allowed to change the SKU for a listing once created.

If my item attribute is edited on Souq Selling Center, will the change reflect on Amazon Seller Central as well?
Yes. If an item attribute is edited by either you or another Seller on Souq Selling Center and the edit is approved by Souq operations, we will automatically edit the item on Amazon Seller Central. It will take up to 10 days to reflect the edit in Amazon systems. Please refer to separate FAQ for updates related to inventory and pricing.

How can I check how many items are live or active in my listings? 
On Souq Selling Center, the seller dashboard displays how many items are live or published. The 'Manage Inventory' tab also displays how many of your items are live, paused, expired and sold-out. On Amazon Seller Central, you will also have a 'Manage Inventory' tab that gives access to the many features available that are relevant to updating your listings. You can sort your Inventory view according to your preferences and also filter which listings are active (live) and inactive. Please search 'Manage Inventory' on Amazon Help link to learn more about all the inventory related features available.

What are the main differences in Inventory Management? 

  • Pricing - On Amazon Seller Central, aside from having access to updating all your listing details, you will also have an option to automate your pricing, match it to the lowest price or Buy Box price and set the minimum and maximum price you can offer. This will save you time and effort of continually checking and updating your prices on your Amazon Seller Central. On Souq Selling Centre, you need to always visit your listings to change the prices one by one or in bulk. 

  • Listing - In Amazon Seller Central Inventory Management, you will also have an option to create a new product detail page using information copied from an existing listing. Souq Selling Centre does not have this option, you can only do “Sell Yours” where you can use the details of existing product to list the “same product”. FBS Long-Term Storage Fees 

Starting February 1, 2019, we are introducing monthly long term storage fees for sellers using the FBS service. The long-term storage fee will only be applied to items aged above 180 days, in addition to the monthly storage fee. To help you manage your inventory, we will be launching new reports on Seller Center displaying item level aging and cubic foot data. Examples below outline how the storage fee is calculated.

Calculating cubic feet from centimeters

  • Multiply length x width x height in centimeters to get the volume.

  • Divide the volume by 28,317 cubic meters (30.5 x 30.5 x 30.5 cm = 28,372.6 cm3 divided by 28,317 = 1 cubic foot).

Example: A unit measuring 47 x 12 x 10 centimeters divided by 28,317 = 0.2 cubic feet.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How are monthly storage fees calculated?

A: Storage fees are based on the daily average volume (measured in cubic feet) for the space your inventory occupies in fulfillment centers. The volume measurement is based on unit size when scanned upon inbound at our fulfillment centers. Starting February 1, 2019 items stored in fulfillment centers will be charged a monthly storage fee. Monthly inventory storage fees typically are charged and invoiced during the first week of the following month for which the fee applies. For example, your storage fee for February, will be invoiced during the first week of March. The storage fee invoices will be available in Selling Center.

 

Q: How are monthly long-term storage fees calculated?

A: The long-term storage fee is in addition to the monthly inventory storage fee. Assessment is based on the date an item is received in the fulfillment center. On the last day of each month, Fulfilled by Souq (FBS) conducts an inventory cleanup. On this date, inventory that has been in fulfillment centers for 181 to 365 days incurs a long-term storage fee (LTSF) of 15 SAR per cubic foot. Items that have been in fulfillment centers for more than 365 days on the inventory cleanup date incur a long-term storage fee of 30 SAR per cubic foot. 

 

Q: What if I sell an item before the end of the month?

A: Storage fees are based on average daily volume, and if an item is sold before the end of the month it will only be charged for the number of days it was in our fulfillment center. Long term storage fees are calculated on the last day of each month, if an item is sold before the assessment date it will not be charged a long term storage fee.

 

Q: I don’t know the volume of my items, how will it be calculated?

A: Upon inbounding items into our fulfillment centers, we will scan each of your items. The cubic volume along with inventory aging details will be available in Selling Center at an ASIN level.

如何参加souq.com的促销活动(Promotion, Deal, LD, DOTD etc.)

在您的卖家后台左下角*如下图所示)有一个”Promotion”的选项。点击“Promotion”的选项将会出现最近在souq.com上进行中或将要进行的促销活动。年度重要的促销活动如:“White Friday” , “Ramadan” 以及月度,日度的促销活动”Deal of today” “Best Deal” 都会在这个页面中参加

例:”Get Warm”促销活动。会标注清除,活动时间:10月19-21日,参加的产品内容以及介绍等等。

卖家可根据自己的产品特性选择自己想要参加的促销系列。需要注意的是:

  1. 由于不同促销时间及选品不同,卖家需根据自身产品参加对应的促销活动
  2. 卖家产品的销售表现以及客服反馈是很重要的平台参考标准。卖家反馈较差将很可能无法参与到促销活动中
  3. 点击参与后,平台会有审核。审核通过将可以在自己的”Promotion”列表中看到
  4. 促销活动结束后,需要卖家自行调整价格。平台并不会自动回复卖价

如何参加

(点家任意一个促销活动)

  1. 在卖家后台中点击 “Promotions”选项
  2. 您将看到所有当前和未来会进行的促销活动的列表,但您只需单击要参与的促销活动即可。

可参与的促销活动

  1. 选择“符合条件的项目”标签。你可以预览所有可以参与本促销活动并拥有实际库存的商品。卖家可点击任意一款产品,了解详情。

当前价格:当前商品售价(自动抓取目前平台该产品售价)

  • 活动价格:促销期间您希望提供的促销销售价格
  • 最便宜的价格:目前该产品在souq的最低售价
  • 产品数量:此产品当前有库存的单位数量。您可以选择所有可用的库存都将参与促销或具体数量
  • Fulfilled By:显示项目是FBS还是non-FBS。 FBS商品将呈现fulfilled by Souq,而non-FBS项目将呈现fulfilled by 卖家。(目前所有中国卖家都选择FBS)
  • 免费送货:如果选择,如果在活动期间订购,将向您收取此项目的相关运费 (建议不要点击,会有10AED/每单额外的费用)

 

  1. 填写完您的“促销活动详细信息”后,点击“添加到促销活动”以提交交易转入审核。 合格商品将显示在“已批准”选项中,而被拒的商品将显示在“已排除”选项中。

选择使用批量模式(Excel表格上传)选择促销商品:

1.访问销售中心的“促销”程序

3.当你选择批量模式时,单击绿色Excel按钮下载活动模板。按照模板填写参加活动的产品信息(如选品,数量)后,点击excel上传按键完成促销活动产品上传。

 

 

完成导出通知

  1. 在Excel电子表格中填写促销活动详细信息,包括“活动促销价”。以及是否为要包含促销商品提供“免费送货” (建议不要点击,会有10AED/每单额外的费用)

注意:如果您不想参与活动中的项目,可以保留“折后价格”。

促销提供模板

5.完成Excel电子表格填写后,保存并上传它,方法是单击向上看的绿色Excel按钮以提交交易以供审阅。 接受的项目将显示在“已批准”选项卡中,而被拒绝的项目将显示在“已排除的项目”选项卡中。

参加促销的选品还可以做什么:
您可以使用已批准标签:
•从促销活动中撤回商品
•编辑活动价格和免费送货选项
•批量修改促销信息
从促销活动中撤回项目:
滚动“已批准”标签中的已批准项目列表,然后点击您要从促销中退出的项目旁边的“撤回”。 该项目将自动移至“符合条件的项目”选项。

撤回商品
修改促销价格和免费送货选项:
在“已批准”选项卡中浏览已批准项目列表,然后单击“活动价格”并输入新的“活动价格”,最后单击绿色复选按钮。 您还可以通过将启用程序滑动到蓝色激活免费送货或启用灰色来停用免费送货选项。

按批量修改:
1.访问“已批准”选项卡,然后单击绿色Excel按钮以下载模板。 模板准备就绪后,它将显示在“通知”下的“完成导出”通知中。
2.编辑“折扣后价格”以及是否为活动中包含的项目提供“免费送货”。
